Gábor Csordás is a versatile jazz-pianist/producer. He has recorded 3 solo piano albums and a mainstream jazz trio album "Swansong" that has brought him success in Japan. Funkventure is his debut full-length producer album.

As a producer he gained recognition for his remixes for Tokyo Dawn Records that include Amalia/Opolopo, Vindahl and Pugs Atomz.

From the Funkventure album "Moonboy" has been released on Tokyo Dawn Records on "The Move" compilation, and "Off Coast" and "Kwakuti Boogie" are to be released on upcoming compilations of TDR in 2020 as well.

The instrumental album is navigating in the funk-jazz-electronic triangle, from afro-boogie flavors ("Kwakuti Boogie") across cinematic deep house ("Molinari", "Off Coast", "Moonboy"), to g-funk ("Sexy Walk") and even synthwave (Robofunk). The music is "adventurous" hence the name "Funkventure" which means that structure is more complex than usual dance oriented music, we reach a "conclusion" in the songs, but the sense of beat is strong, and the funky flavors are present in each track. A few extended jazz solos show off the improvisation skills of the producer, adding an organic touch to the otherwise synthesizer dominated arrangements.
